When you have a couple reach out to you about their MIDDAY wedding on the beach….you get a little nervous as a photographer. I mean the lighting isn’t exactly “ideal” that time of day, especially in the wide open scenario of the bright white sandy Florida beaches.
But you know what? God is so good. At first Vickie + Chuck were teased with forecasts of massive rainstorms. But a few days later the weather predictions showed us only scattered storms and mostly later in the afternoon! So you see the choice to have their wedding at noon was actually the best plan ever.
This wasn’t the average wedding day. But you KNOW I adore capturing things that are different! Vickie + Chuck simply wanted their ceremony, family and friends, and their own personal portraits photographed. No getting ready and no reception. A mere two hours of time spent with them. But we achieved SO much!!
It began with their first look behind Hemingways Restaurant on Pensacola Beach. Chuck couldn’t take his eyes off his bride, and Vickie was totally worth all the staring :) Seeing couples finding love “later in life” is pure joy to me. Love has no age limit y’all! And they absolutely slayed their portraits as if they spend all their time in front of the camera!
After a beautiful ceremony where Vickie’s granddaughters walked her down the aisle and her son-in-law officiated (I wish I had a video to share of the perfect words he spoke!), we finished up with a few more “just married!” photos. The rain began just as I was leaving as if planned out perfectly….which of course it was :)
Thankful to have captured this glorious occasion, and I wish these lovebirds all of the blessings!
