30A in Santa Rosa Beach is one of my favorite areas to photograph along the Florida Panhandle. Driving through the area is like entering a new world outside of all the tourist attractions that envelope the Destin area. It’s tranquil, posh, and very “Truman Show-esque”…which by the way filmed in one of the little hamlets of 30A!
Amy & Joel’s wedding was my first at The Bellamy, and it was the sweetest little hole in the wall spot! Literally right off the road, the tree line obscures traffic and makes you feel all the privacy you’d wish for an intimate ceremony like this one.
However, making this particular happy day…well…happy…was not without it’s challenges.
Just a few days prior to Amy & Joel saying “I DO”, Hurricane Michael made it’s way up the coastline. The original venue – while still standing – was just not up to snuff for a wedding in two days time. So Renee, owner of Ceremony Design Company got on the phone with ALL of us vendors and made this incredible day still happen. She found the Bellamy, we all reworked our timelines, and as always put the couple first and foremost in order to make everything as perfect as possible!
At the end of the day this blessed pair were surrounded by all their favorite people, had some gorgeous images to brag about, and were headed off on an incredible two week honeymoon (to a private island!). I’d say in spite of adversity, it all worked out pretty darn great.
