Corona virus/covid pandemic has been a huge downer for the past few months. And that’s putting it mildly. Weddings have been postponed at every turn, news changes by the minute, and it seemed like love was on lockdown. But Danielle and Taylor were determined to make their wedding ceremony at 5eleven Palafox happen!! But the journey to their happy day wasn’t without bumps in the road.
The couple and all us vendors agreed from the onset of this virus that we were on board with doing at least an intimate ceremony! So basically Danielle & Taylor were game for the idea of eloping. That meant we would reschedule their celebration with family and friends to the Fall. All good right?
As we drew closer to their originally planned date of April 4th, Florida’s governor finally decided to officially declare a “shelter in place”. And this was scheduled to begin on April 3rd!! So we’d been backed into a corner where if we proceeded on the 4th, we’d pretty much be breaking the “rules” of quarantine.
We cannot go any further in this story without shouting out mega props to Chloe Sexton, owner of Supposey!! Within ten minutes of this order begin dropped on us, she was on the phone checking with vendors and the couple to see how we felt about moving the date to April 2nd instead. BOOM. DONE.
Because that’s what we do…make joy happen :)
So on April 2nd 2020 Danielle and Taylor stood in the courtyard of 5eleven and shared personal vows promising each other FOREVER and a day. I cried. TWICE. It was so incredibly special to see just the two of them declare their love in spite of the world going crazy all around us. They seemed as happy in that moment as they could’ve been saying those words in front of everyone they know!
By the way we kept our distance ;) All the gorgeous photos you see here were achieved with long lenses and an uber creative team!
See y’all in September when we get to partyyyyy with all the fam and friends!!
