Dorothy + Stephen’s sweet and simply perfect rainy wedding day left me in grins! They are the very definition of young love.
From the moment Dorothy put on her dress and was in tears seeing herself for the first time, I knew this was going to be a special day. Moments later she was outside with Stephen for not a First Look….but instead a moment of prayer where neither of them saw each other! (If you’re on the fence about whether you want a first look or not, I encourage you to consider this anticipatory moment instead. Somehow it got this couple even MORE excited for the wedding!)
After their ceremony taking place in their own family church, we headed back outside to beat the rain and photograph their families…and between them they have 23 siblings! YEP. Now as an only child, I can tell you that is mind blowing and incredible to even imagine considering I grew up in my house “alone”. :) And y’all, we had so much fun!
Since I didn’t have an engagement session with Dorothy + Stephen prior to the wedding, I was so happy to be gifted with the natural way they just easily love one another. And it shows in the photos! Had the rain not started to come down we would’ve kept shooting for even longer than we did! This couple makes me grateful to do what I do!
